Dr. Leon Cygman was born in Ukraine and emigrated to Canada at a young age. He grew up in Montreal and, upon completing his university studies, moved to Calgary, where he worked in the construction industry for several years. He continued his education, earning an MBA in Information Systems and a PhD in e-business. Moving to the education sector, Leon has taught a variety of post-secondary subjects, including information technology, mathematics, statistics, e-commerce, management, and aviation. Leon is a semi-retired university business professor and plans to spend more of his time writing.
Leon has written several academic articles and books, but this is his first work of fiction. He is a passionate traveller, having visited over 25 countries. Leon has a commercial pilot’s license and a flight instructor rating. His fascination with magic and his enjoyment of reading thrillers gave him the idea of teaming up Harry Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to solve a mysterious crime.
Currently, Leon is living in Manitoba, Canada, with his very supportive wife, is a father to a beautiful daughter and a grandfather to a bright and stunningly gorgeous granddaughter.
